Mary was a wild one, who moved from town to town. Had a rough upbringing from her old man, who she doesn't see anymore.
John was his name, and a plumber by trade, he got married way too young. Had a couple of kids, but denied they were his, said his wife was sleeping around.
Jane wouldn't cheat, but she lied about pete and the kiss they stole on the lawn. So she told him of course and then filed for divorce, left the kids with their dad all alone.

Mary was a wild one, she spent most of her time on her own. She would sit in her room, block the door with a broom, and write songs and smoke out the window.
Whilst she hated the view, it was all that she knew, and her dad let her do what she want. But Remembered his rage, when her mum got engaged, asked her brother and her to move in.
After 6 months at home, Mary spoke on the phone, to her mum in her room while her brother got stoned. "Why are things such a mess, it's been worse since you left. I'm gonna move out as soon as I can..."

Remember the song you sang in the hall? You thought of your life, the things that you saw. We'll grow old in our bodies, holding our whole lives.

After 5 years went by, Mary said her goodbyes, to her Dad and her home and her mother and cried. Booked a plane to the east and where she thought she's find peace, she felt hope for the first time in years.
